Want to have a real treat? Try Awaken's hot stone massage. I went in for the hot stone treatment last night and it was fabulous. Soothing, relaxing, all the built-up tension in my body just washed away. I went home, had a glass of wine and slept like a baby too. I had been to Awaken before for deep-tissue and it was great, at a wonderful price too. But for me the hot stones were even better -- 90 minutes of heaven. This is now going to be part of my regular health and relaxation regime.

Living in spa country, I have had many massages. My recent massage at Awaken in Napa was so memorable I want to encourage anyone seeking a relaxing, professional, therapeutic massage to give Awaken a try. The therapists at Awaken are intuitive, gracious and knowledgeable. They offer many different types of massage styles. My favorite is the deep tissue acupressure massage. The massage table is heated, hot towels are applied and I was massaged and stretched back into a state of well-being. Prices are reasonable. Give it a try!

Booked a massage for my girlfriend about a month ago. We decided to get the couple's massage, because the price was too good to pass up. The place is very clean, peaceful, warm, relaxing, everything I was hoping for. The massages were awesome, we both like hard deep pressure and got plenty of it. When we are in Napa again, we plan to go back. Awesome deal on quality massages in a clean and calming environment. The woman I booked the massages with over the phone is also one of the masseuses. She tried her best to accommodate our scheduling requests. My girlfriend was impressed by her massage skills. My masseuse did an awesome job as well. The hot and damp cloth wipe down after to get the oil off was a nice touch.

After a morning of horseback riding, I ended up in Napa and thought at the age of 22 it was time for my first massage. The ambiance of this place is great, my only complaint is that the room I was in faced the street. There is a lot of passing cars that you can hear but once her hands get on you....it all just fades away.

I opted for an hour massage and was in complete bliss the entire time. She was very gentle but still worked out some of 22 years I was holding on this precious back. At $60 for the hour she went from head to toe as I moaned in pure pleasure.

After the massage she sat with me and gave me a few glasses of water until I regained consciousness and walked back into the real world. Thank you Awaken for bursting my massage cherry. Thank you.

After a hectic day of visiting friends and my favorite wineries in the Napa Valley, my sciatic nerve starts acting up and bloody screamed for a massage. It was nearly dark and no way in hell I am going to get into one of the "spa" without a reservation. A mate of mine tells me to check this place out, it is new and I might get a last minute reservation. Yep...I did.

"Awaken" is located on the second floor of a circa 1950ish house. It is not one of those fancy spa that cost an arm and a leg that one sees in the Napa Valley. There are about three rooms. I would call this place A-Spa-Without-The-Fluff-Stuff-BUT-With-Zen-Like-Atmosphere. At this moment I wasn't into the "spa treatment." I just want to kill those painful knots.

Jun was my therapist. At first I thought how could this petite person do a Deep Tissue Massage and hope that she is not a "Newbie"? Mind you, when sciatica kicks in, I need STRONG deep massage -not the light or medium style of Swedish nor a Newbie. My first impression of Jun was off target. Jun gives me what I exactly needed. To my surprise, I was dozing away twice. In 20 years of getting massage that never happen to me with Deep Tissue style (Swedish or Aromatherapy that's another story). It could be the serenity of the room, the flickering candles, the heated table, and or the rhythm of the massage. Regardless, I did catch some zzzzzz -hopefully I wasn't snoring or drooling (YUCK). Afterward, all those freaking knots disappeared. I felt like I was taking a walk in the clouds (hey..that sounded like a movie that the wifey and I saw once).

When I am in the area I will definitely be coming back here again and I will bring the boss lady too (they have a room for couples – cool).

This place is awesome! I expected a lousy massage judging by the first sight of the location and my masseuse and by the first 5 minutes of the session. Boy, was I wrong! This is the best massage I've ever had! And for $60? Can't find a better deal. I will definitely be a return customer. Hopefully this weekend...

Recent "life events" had me carrying tension in my shoulder. I just had a massage in Calistoga but it did not help. I found Awaken on Yelp and gave them a call. My entire experience with them was awesome. June gave me the best massage I ever had. She listened to my needs and got the tension knot out of my shoulder. Today I am sending my son! This place is definitely one of Napa's hidden gems.

They were extremely helpful in helping me choose the right massages for my boyfriend and I. The main lady who helped me on the phone was very sweet and welcoming in person.

The massages were HEAVEN!!! They start by massaging your body over a blanket, then continue to massage each body part separately.

Just a word to the wise... the hot towels they use are EXTREMELY HOT!!! If your skin is sensitive like mine, ask that they use warm or mildly hot towels. My skin was definitely tingling for a minute or two. The heat is necessary to lock in moisture from the lotion they use, but DANG...

I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for an affordable, wonderful, muscle-relaxing massage in the heart of wine country. We're coming back for sure!!!
